Members from the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Michigan are showcasing their talents with a display featuring three vignettes highlighting glam to traditional decorating styles. From silver and crystal window treatments complimenting chrome and glass furniture to a navy leather couch combined with the Sherwin-Williams color of the year Cavern Clay, the ASID-MI area is always a show-stopper.

While there, make sure to Ask the Designer and take advantage of the free 15-minute consultations from ASID-MI members. Bring your design dilemma and inspiration images to receive realistic, relevant suggestions from professional interior designers. Faux Couture and Friends paint-a-thon

Come encourage the volunteers painting 100 pieces of furniture for Humble Design. Faux Couture and Friends is supported by Home Depot, Sherwin-Williams, Big George’s & Witbeck Home Appliance Mart and BEHR paint.

Stop by the paint-a-thon area (just down from the Inspiration Stage) to support the painters, check out the different techniques used on the furniture or make a donation to Humble Design.

Discover how to make a room come alive and give it a finished look with the modern approach of wallcoverings, with the help of Debra Christy, ASID, of Wake Up Your Space. Wallpaper is a creative way to give a wall or a whole room the long-lasting beauty of digital printed patterns and unlimited color that can be customized to your creative vision. Debra will share tips on selecting the correct wall material, preparation and application of wallcoverings, based on the room you are designing.

Through pictures and stories, Marianne Behler, NAPO, of Lifetime Photo Solutions, will introduce steps to take to create a family and business legacy of photos and stories, including how to both create and access it. Marianne will share examples of family and business photo history books. “The legacy of a photo collection and the stories preserved and celebrated becomes priceless to future generations, a business and even the community.”
